TORONTO, May 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Invesco Canada ("Invesco")
today announced it is reducing the management and advisory fees
(MAFs) on select series across several funds, effective
May 23, 2017. At the same time,
operating expenses for select fee-based series of certain funds are
being capped.
Savings will be passed on entirely to investors holding the
applicable series. The MAF reductions and operating expense caps
are expected to have an immediate effect on 75 fund series,
beginning May 23, 2017, as MAFs and
operating expenses accrue daily. Of those 75 series that will be
impacted immediately, Invesco expects the management expense ratios
(MERs) will be reduced by an average of 0.17 percentage
points.†
Depending on the particular series of a fund, the MER may be
reduced by as much as 0.53 percentage points. The operating expense
caps will also provide cost certainty to investors in the funds
that are not seeing an immediate impact.

Invesco calculates and publishes MERs semi-annually, based on
the fees applied during the previous calculation period. As such,
the MERs on affected funds with a December
31 year-end will fully reflect the fee reductions on
June 30, 2018. For funds with a
March 31 year-end, the MERs will
fully reflect the fee reductions on September 30, 2018.
† The actual MER reduction may be different than
disclosed in this document. The series will not see an immediate
decrease in the published MER. The operating expense cap does not
include HST or other taxes.
