Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

On April 27, 2017, Pattern Energy Group Inc. (“ Pattern Energy ”) issued a press release announcing it had published a white paper (the “White Paper”) on its website outlining the business model, investment thesis and phases of development. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and a copy of the White Paper is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this Current Report on Form 8-K. The White Paper is also available in the “Investors” section of the Company’s website at http://investors.patternenergy.com/ under “Events & Presentations.”
