Greenwood Hall, Inc. (OTCQB:ELRN), an education technology company that partners with colleges and universities to improve student engagement and outcomes, today announced the Company has been selected by the SC Technical College System (SCTCS) to provide comprehensive student lifecycle solutions to the 16-campus system on a statewide basis. The solutions will specifically enhance student access to critical student support services and assistance.

Research has found that a majority of students who drop out of college on a nationwide basis do so because they do not have access to adequate non-academic support services. By investing in solutions that help students remove non-academic obstacles, post-secondary institutions can improve graduation rates and student outcomes.

Working with individual SCTCS colleges, Greenwood Hall will offer best of breed support services in financial aid, enrollment support, retention, and technical help desk solutions to assist students with gaining better access to student services vital to student success while enhancing the overall student experience. The SCTCS-Greenwood Hall partnership will specifically support the statewide system’s goals of making quality higher education opportunities available to all South Carolinians.

Greenwood Hall was selected, in part, due its proven track-record in enhancing student experience and service at six individual colleges in the system: Horry-Georgetown, Florence-Darlington, Greenville, Tri-County, Technical College of the Lowcountry, and Spartanburg Community College. Harold Hawley, vice president and chief financial officer for Horry-Georgetown Technical College, a Greenwood Hall education partner since 2012, said, "We needed a fundamentally different strategy for handling incoming calls, leveraging resources, and improving our service to students.  The alliance with Greenwood Hall accomplished these goals and has forever re-shaped the way we do business.  As a result of the partnership, our students are better served and that is what matters most."

Working with the individual SCTCS colleges, Greenwood Hall will offer schools best of breed support services in financial aid, enrollment support, retention, and technical help desk solutions to assist students with gaining better access to college services and helping improve the overall student experience.

“Student success and retention are important measures for the SC Technical College System,” said Dr. Hope Rivers, executive vice president of academic and student services for the System.  “We look forward to partnering with Greenwood Hall to enhance the student experience across our 16 colleges.”

“A great student experience is essential to student success and student retention,” said Bill Bradfield, executive vice president of strategic partnerships at Greenwood Hall. “Greenwood Hall has had partnerships with six of the sixteen SCTCS system schools dating to 2012. The great teams at each of the campuses have made the connection between great service and increased student success. With this expanded partnership, all the schools in the system can take advantage of our services so we can help them help their students through the entire student lifecycle.”
