PLANO, Texas, April 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PepsiCo's Frito-Lay North America business unit today recognized 89 over-the-road (OTR) drivers in the U.S. and Canada who reached the career milestone of driving more than one, two, three – and for the first time ever – four million accident-free miles.

Frito-Lay's Million Milers have high-caliber safety skills honed through regular and robust training and adherence to good driving behaviors. Frito-Lay utilizes skills maneuvering courses and team collaborations on best practices to help its drivers maintain their skills.

On average, it takes a Frito-Lay OTR driver about 12 years to reach the one million mile mark. 

The 89 Frito-Lay OTR drivers recognized this year included: one driver achieving four million accident-free miles; three drivers achieving more than three million accident-free miles; 17 drivers achieving more than two million accident-free miles; and, 68 drivers achieving more than one million accident-free miles.

The Million Milers, along with their families, were recently recognized by Frito-Lay's supply chain leadership at an annual gala at the DFW Airport Marriott South in Ft. Worth, Texas.
