K2M Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:KTWO) (the "Company" or "K2M"), a global leader of complex spine and minimally invasive solutions focused on achieving three-dimensional Total Body Balance™, today announced that it will exhibit the Balance ACS™ (or BACS™) platform at the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS) Annual Meeting, April 12-14 in Boca Raton, FL, at Booth #302. During the meeting, the Company will also host an interactive workshop on spinal balance on April 12.

“K2M is excited to participate in this year’s ISASS—an important meeting for advancing major evolutionary steps in spine surgery—by showcasing our comprehensive Balance ACS platform of three-dimensional spinal solutions,” said K2M President and CEO, Eric Major. “We have leveraged our expertise in developing innovative spine products to create Balance ACS, which aims to support the full continuum of care, help drive quality surgical outcomes, and ultimately, achieve Total Body Balance for spine patients.”

The Balance ACS platform provides solutions focused on achieving balance of the spine by addressing each anatomical vertebral segment with a 360-degree approach to the axial, coronal and sagittal planes, emphasizing Total Body Balance as an important component of surgical success. During the meeting, K2M will demo the BACS System services offering and the BACS app, a convenient portal for surgeons to access the BACS System. The BACS System includes:

  • BACS Preauthorization: An easy-to-follow insurance documentation tool that displays payer- and patient-specific requirements.
  • BACS Surgical Planner: A surgical image measuring technology to assist in planning and preoperative implant selection.
  • BACS Anatomical Models: 3D-printed anatomical models to aid in visualization of patient anatomy for surgical planning and intraoperative use.
  • BACS Data Management: A data collection and operative reporting system to track patient quality metrics achieved with spinal balance.

K2M will also host an interactive workshop entitled: “Techniques to Optimize Spinal Balance” facilitated by Paul Kraemer, MD, an orthopaedic surgeon at the Indiana Spine Group and assistant professor of clinical orthopaedic surgery at Indiana University Hospitals. The session will begin at noon on April 12 in Addison Ballroom West.
