LAVAL, Quebec, April 7, 2017 /CNW/ -- U-Haul Company of
Western Quebec is offering 30 days
of free self-storage to residents of Sainte-Thérèse and surrounding
areas who have been or will be impacted by flooding.
Greater Montreal has taken on
extensive water due to heavy rains. Flooded streets and flooded
home basements in several communities have created the need for
secure and dry self-storage options where people can keep their
possessions.
"Many residents in Sainte-Thérèse have been forced from their
homes," said Philippe Delisle,
U-Haul Storage of Laval general
manager. "The Rivière aux Chiens is spilling over and causing some
real problems."
U-Haul Company of Western
Quebec president Claude
Boucher added: "U-Haul is a strong member of these
communities. We are willing to help in whatever capacity we
can."

assistance should contact:

U-Haul stores offer needed supplies to help with storm recovery
like boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul
urges customers to ensure their tanks are topped off since propane
is good to have in the event of long-term power outages.
U-Haul is the industry leader in do-it-yourself moving and
self-storage, with more than 21,000 locations across the U.S. and
Canada. In addition to its 30 days
free self-storage assistance, U-Haul is an official American Red
Cross Disaster Responder and is proud to be at the forefront of
aiding communities in time of need.
