ATLANTA, March 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Streamline
Health Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRM), provider of the Looking
Glass® platform of integrated solutions, technology-enabled
services and analytics supporting revenue cycle optimization for
healthcare enterprises, today announced an agreement to provide new
services and technology to long-time client Nebraska
Medicine. Nebraska Medicine provides its patients with access
to more than 1,000 physicians with a total of 661 licensed beds at
its hospitals in Omaha and
Bellevue, along with nearly 40
specialty and primary care clinics in Omaha and the surrounding area. Nebraska
Medicine is the clinical partner for the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).
The client agreed to leverage Coding Audit services from
Streamline Health to assess the accuracy and completeness of its
Inpatient, Outpatient, Pro-Fee and HCC coding efforts. Streamline
Health's experienced Auditing staff will use the Company's Looking
Glass® CORE (Coding Opportunity Report Engine) solution to help
them randomly audit approximately 1500 records of Inpatient,
Outpatient, Pro-Fee and HCC accounts over the next several
weeks. Streamline Health's CORE technology will empower
Nebraska Medicine coders with detailed reporting of all audit
results, which the client will use to continue coder education and
to enhance their overall accuracy and quality.
"We chose Streamline Health's Coding Audit Services to help us
complete a random sample audit to evaluate the overall quality of
full-time coding staff because we know the company well and have
been using one of their Looking Glass solutions for the past 10
years," stated Judith Botts,
Director of HIM, Nebraska Medicine. "Their Looking Glass CORE
technology will enable us to provide customized education to our
coders once the random audit is completed. This kind of
hands-on learning will help us to improve the quality and accuracy
of our coding staff going forward."
"We are pleased to expand our partnership with Nebraska Medicine
to include Auditing Services," stated David
Sides, President and Chief Executive Officer, Streamline
Health. "They are a long-time client, and this sale of
our Auditing Services into an existing client is exactly what we
envisioned when we acquired Opportune IT last fall. Our
investment in developing the Looking Glass CORE technology was a
key factor in convincing Nebraska Medicine to choose us over the
competition including their incumbent provider."
