One Week Left to Nominate for School Janitor of the Year

Winning janitor to receive $5,000 cash and $5,000 in products and services for school

There’s only one week left to nominate your favorite school janitor or custodian for the fourth-annual Janitor of the Year contest from Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS). The winning Janitor will receive a $5,000 cash prize along with $5,000 in Cintas and Rubbermaid® Commercial products and services for his or her school.

Nominations are being accepted at www.cintas.com/JOTY through Wednesday, March 1. The submissions will be narrowed down to the top 10 finalists by a judging panel from US Communities and Rubbermaid, which will be revealed on March 15. The contest will then be open to public voting through April 14.

“The Janitor of the Year contest aims to shine a spotlight on those who are often overlooked,” said John Engel, Director of Marketing, Cintas. “Working year-round to make schools a healthy and safe space for students and staff, the role of school janitor often goes above and beyond normal cleaning duties as they’re often the heart of the school.”

The contest is open to all elementary, middle, high school, college and university janitors who have worked at their school for at least two years. Nominations must be 500 words or less on why the janitor is deserving of the award and submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on March 1.
