Q: What happens to RAI retiree medical and pension plans?
A: Based on the information provided, at this time there is no impact on RAI retiree medical or pension plans. Benefits are not affected by the
announcement. If any retiree provisions are changed in the future, communications will be provided in advance of the effectiveness of the changes.
Q: Can
I use my existing medical and pharmacy cards?
A: Yes, you should continue to use your 2017 medical and pharmacy cards for any medical or
pharmacy claims you incur.
Q: Are my dependents still covered?
A: Yes. The announcement will have no effect on the coverage of your dependents.
Q: Are my medical or pharmacy plans going to change?
A: For 2017 there are no additional changes to your existing medical or pharmacy plans, and there are no planned changes to the existing
vendors. Annually the plans are evaluated for competitiveness and affordability.
Q: Are my rates going to increase?
A: The rates for 2017 have been set and there are no additional increases for this year. Each year the rates will continue to be reviewed based
on utilization and affordability. Any rate changes will be communicated to you well in advance of enrollment.
Q: Will I remain eligible for the exchange
and the HRA contribution?
A: Yes, you remain eligible and your contribution will continue for 2017. If any changes are planned for
subsequent years you will be notified in advance.
Q: Will the eligibility rules for retirement change for RAI?
A: Currently there are no planned changes for retirement eligibility.
