International stocks trading in New York closed higher on Friday.

Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes S.A. (GOL, GOLL4.BR) was among the companies with ADRs that traded actively amid a broad rise across the sector.

The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.4% to $130.01. The European index increased 0.4% to $122.27, the Asian index improved 0.1% to $147.79, the Latin American index rose 1.7% to $219.38 and the emerging-markets index increased 0.5% to $258.23.

ADRs of Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes rose 8.3% to $17.87. ADRs of China Eastern Airlines Corp. Ltd. increased 4.3% to $25.46. ADRs of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste S.A.B. de C.V. (ASR) rose 3.7% to $139.24 and ADRs of LATAM Airlines Group S.A. (LFL, LAN.SN) climbed 3.2% to $9.45.
