LONDON--Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK.LN) said Thursday that Global Pharmaceuticals President Abbas Hussain will leave later this year after eight years with the company and be replaced by Luke Miels.

Mr. Miels is currently executive vice president of AstraZeneca PLC's (AZN) European business. His start date will be announced in due course, Glaxo said.
