Partnership gives individual tax filers, small and medium-sized business owners, independent contractors and expatriates convenient access to Certified Public Accountants and Enrolled Agents should their DIY tax return present challenges

The partnership enables individual tax filers, small and medium sized business (SMB) owners, independent contractors and expatriates who start preparing their tax return with TaxAct, a Blucora company, to easily connect with Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and Enrolled Agents (EAs) should they prefer to have their taxes completed by a licensed accounting professional.

However, some individual and business filers with more complex tax needs prefer guided assistance from a CPA or EA. Those filers have asked for an easy way to do that from within the TaxAct products. This tax season, filers can leverage Taxfyle’s innovative on-demand tax and accounting marketplace to get the expertise of a licensed tax professional with a click of the mouse or via their mobile device.

From within their TaxAct return, filers simply select “Taxfyle” to launch the application, create a work request and connect to a CPA or EA in minutes. They are asked a series of brief yes and no questions about their tax situation before seeing an instant price quote from a CPA or EA who can prepare and file their taxes. Taxfyle user requests are first served by CPAs and EAs who either use TaxAct Professional software or tax professionals who are financial advisors of HD Vest, TaxAct’s sister-company, before the broader Taxfyle network is tapped.
