Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On January 6, 2017, Mark Smith, the Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales Operations of Arista Networks, Inc. (the “Company”), informed the Company that he will voluntarily resign his position effective on February 6, 2017.

The sales function for the Company will continue to report to Anshul Sadana, the Company's Chief Customer Officer.
