Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE:TGI) is pleased to announce that it received the 2016 Partner of the Year award at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) annual supplier conference. The company’s Interiors business, part of its Triumph Precision Components business unit, received the honor for its exceptional performance and delivery on the multiple MHI programs it supports.

“We are extremely honored to have been selected as one of this year’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Partner of the Year recipients,” said Rick Rosenjack, executive vice president of Triumph Precision Components. “To be recognized for our on-time delivery and quality by MHI is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our entire organization to the lean manufacturing processes that drive our performance.”

“Triumph Precision Components – Interiors earned our prestigious Partner of the Year award based upon their superior customer service and their remarkable on-time delivery performance despite reducing manufacturing standard lead time,” said “Travis” Tomohiro Koizumi, purchasing manager of MHI America. “They were also flexible in their support during the ramp-up of multiple MHI manufacturing programs and provided dedicated technical cooperation during the Mitsubishi Regional Jet development.”

Triumph’s Interiors business, which operates under Triumph Integrated Aircraft Interiors, produces close-tolerance thermal acoustic insulation, environmental control systems composite ducting, and a wide variety of plastic and reinforced thermoplastic components to customer requirements. The company started doing business with MHI in 2001 and currently supports the Mitsubishi Regional Jet and MHI’s work on the Boeing 777. Triumph’s consistent high first yield quality ratio led to their inspection authority delegation with MHI in 2015 and has earned dock-to-stock supplier status.
