Item 8.01. Other Events

On November 21, 2016, CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (the “Company”) provided notice of redemption relating to $300,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the Company’s outstanding 6.50% Senior Notes due 2018 (“Notes”). All of the outstanding Notes are called for redemption in full on December 21, 2016 at a redemption price equal to 100% of the principal amount thereof, plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to but excluding the redemption date, plus the make-whole premium, if any.
