LONDON--West African gold miner Randgold Resources PLC (GOLD) said Friday it has partnered with Australia's Newcrest Mining Ltd. (NCM.AU) to explore for gold in the Ivory Coast.

The two gold miners have established a joint venture in which Randgold will manage the exploration and operation of any mines that come to fruition as a result of the venture.
