LONDON--Multi-metal explorer Stratex International PLC (STI.LN)
said Friday its 33%-owned GoldStone Resources Ltd. (GRL.LN) has
found more gold at its Homase/Akrokerri gold project in Ghana.
Following a 4,500 meter drilling program, Goldstone found 14
meters of ore containing 1.18 grams per tons of rock, and 8 meters
of ore containing 1.88 grams of gold per ton of rock.
Interpretation of the drilling program also found that the
complex structural zone between Homase and AngloGold Ashanti Ltd'S
(ANG.JO) Obuasi Mine is prospective.
Stratex has interests in gold and base metals projects in West
Africa and Turkey, where it holds a significant interest in a
producing gold mine.
