October 03 2016 - 12:51PM
Telesat confirms that, following a technical anomaly that occurred
on its Anik F2 satellite yesterday, customer services on Anik F2
were restored early this afternoon. The satellite is performing
normally and all of its subsystems appear healthy.
Satellite anomalies like the one that affected Telesat’s Anik F2
yesterday are highly unusual. Telesat is continuing to investigate
the root cause of the anomaly and will advise affected customers as
more details become known.
