Owens & Minor, Inc. (NYSE: OMI) celebrated supplier
diversity in healthcare by awarding the Earl G. Reubel Award to
three worthy recipients at its 11th Annual Healthcare Supplier
Diversity Symposium in September. The award—named for the founder
of Virginia-based Kerma Medical Products, Inc., a noted veteran-
and minority-owned healthcare company—was established by Owens
& Minor to honor the late Earl G. Reubel, whose vision of
building a legacy for his family through Kerma, demonstrated the
true spirit of entrepreneurialism. The Earl G. Reubel Award honors
recipients from the healthcare industry who embody the spirit of
Reubel.
At the Symposium’s opening night gala, Owens & Minor
presented the leadership award in three categories: Diverse
Business of the Year; Hospital, Integrated Healthcare Delivery
System, or Group Purchasing Organization of the Year; and Civic
Leader of the Year.

Delivery System, or GPO of the Year – CHRISTUS Health of
Dallas

veteran-owned businesses, who convened in Richmond, Virginia, to
explore new models for growth designed to improve the healthcare
value chain and create a positive community impact. The symposium
featured keynote addresses, a CEO roundtable, panel discussions and
