ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL SECURITIES BY DIMENSIONAL FUND ADVISORS

In accordance with section 122 (3)(b) of the Companies Act No. 71
of 2008 and section 3.83 (b) of the JSE Limited Listing
Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that Gold Fields
Limited has received formal notification from the Dimensional
Fund Advisors LP that it has acquired an additional interest in
the ordinary shares of the Company. Accordingly the total
interest in the issued ordinary shares of Gold Fields held by
Dimensional Fund Advisers LP is 5.015%.
