Sept. 13, 2016 – $0.27
CALGARY, Sept. 13, 2016 /CNW/ - Maple Leaf Green
World (MGW-V) ("Maple Leaf" or the "Company")
announces that it has retained the services of a Las Vegas based law firm to assist the Company
in its negotiations to acquire or work with existing Medical
Marijuana Establishment (MME) licensees in the areas of marijuana
cultivation, production and distribution.
Nevada's initiative for the
legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes, known as
Question 2, will be voted on by state residents on November 8, 2016. "The polling numbers look very
favorable right now for the Question 2 initiative. We also believe
Las Vegas, as the entertainment
capital of North America,
represents an exciting opportunity for further growth in the
Company's operations" said Raymond
Lai, President & C.E.O. of Maple Leaf.
To date, the Company has received over CAD $400,000 from the exercise of previously issued
share purchase warrants, which provides additional funding (on top
of the expected revenue from the Company's first harvest in
California) for Maple Leaf's
expansion plans in Nevada and
California.
