IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Netlist, Inc.
(NASDAQ: NLST), announced the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 9,436,600
(the '600 patent) relating to a multi-channel hybrid memory
architecture that uses non-volatile memory to protect critical data
in the event of power loss.
Netlist's fundamental hybrid memory portfolio reflects nearly a
decade of pioneering work by Netlist engineers creating products
that leverage the combined strengths of volatile and non-volatile
memory. The '600 patent is the latest addition to a growing
number of battle-tested patents that cover the architectures and
key design features of hybrid memory systems. In particular,
Netlist's patented innovations have enabled the use of NAND flash
in high-speed modules operating on the memory channel, such as
Netlist NVvault® NVDIMM and the company's latest storage class
memory product HybriDIMM™ introduced last month.
"We are pleased to see the U.S. Patent Office continue to
validate our position as a pioneer in the area of hybrid memory,"
said Netlist's Vice President of Intellectual Property and
Licensing, Noel Whitley. "The
ground-breaking work of our engineers is reflected not only in our
valuable patent portfolio, but also in our track record of bringing
disruptive new products to market. We remain focused on
monetizing these innovations through our products business as well
as pursuing licensing opportunities for our patent
portfolio."
