Dalton to become CEO
American Water Works Co., Inc. (NYSE: AWK), the largest publicly
traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, today announced
that Keystone Clearwater Solutions (Keystone) President and Chief
Executive Officer Ned Wehler will retire effective Dec. 1, 2016.
Wehler will be replaced by Keystone’s current president and chief
operating officer, Daniel Dalton.
“When American Water decided to acquire Keystone in 2015, among
the reasons were Ned and Dan,” said Susan Story, American Water’s
president and chief executive officer. “Their shared commitment to
safety, protecting the environment and superior customer service
reflect American Water’s values and matter deeply as we grow our
business. While we will miss Ned, we know Dan will continue to lead

customers with professional-quality service and dedication to
excellence.”
Wehler will work with Dalton in the coming months to ensure a
seamless transition.
As the president and chief operating officer of Keystone, Dalton
manages all aspects of the company’s operations. Currently, he
provides direct oversight and management of all water transfer,
pipeline engineering, construction management, transportation and

Dalton has also developed extensive experience in hydrogeology,
environmental permitting and various other geotechnical
applications through the completion of many high-profile water
