BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Endurance
International Group (NASDAQ: EIGI), announced it has
completed the previously announced acquisition of AppMachine, a
Netherlands-based technology
developer. The addition of AppMachine's mobile development platform
to Endurance's suite of solutions will enable small business
customers to expand their online presence with ease.
AppMachine will play an integral role enhancing Endurance's
existing offerings by developing new products that will be
integrated into the Endurance technology platform, making customer
onboarding and website publishing easier and less
time-consuming.
"By integrating AppMachine's team and platform with Endurance,
we see an opportunity to unify, simplify and strengthen our
existing portfolio of web presence and digital marketing solutions
as well as expand this portfolio over time as the needs of our
subscribers evolve," said Michael Kesselman, EVP, Innovation and
Strategy at Endurance. "AppMachine brings a talented development
team that's innovative in the mobile arena. Over the past 18
months, we've partnered with them to build various products. Their
team has proven to be incredibly agile and clever, quickly
delivering solutions that are fast, flexible and easy to use -
which is exactly what every busy small business owner needs. We
couldn't be more thrilled to have AppMachine join the Endurance
family."
AppMachine's robust mobile rendering platform enables mobile
websites to behave like native apps, and its responsive editor
helps small businesses get online fast and update their web
presence on-the-go. In addition to website building, AppMachine has
also created powerful but simple solutions for other small business
needs, including ecommerce and social media management.
"AppMachine began as a startup focused on the building of native
apps, and through our partnership with Endurance, we have the
opportunity to broaden our scope beyond apps and mobile," said
Siebrand Dijkstra, Founder of
AppMachine. "We will continue to grow as a high-tech development
brand and will prioritize delivering products that help small
businesses effortlessly build and manage their web presence. Now
that we are part of Endurance, we look forward to giving their
approximately 5.5 million subscribers access to these
capabilities."
The most recent Endurance and AppMachine collaboration was the
launch of Impress.ly, a new and innovative approach to
automatically generating and managing a mobile optimized small
business website directly on a phone. This product makes it easy
for small businesses and bloggers to create a mobile-optimized
website in minutes. Impress.ly simplifies website design and
development by scanning and organizing existing web assets from
social media, websites, and other online resources and
automatically populating highly customizable website templates.
