2016 – $0.12
CALGARY, July 27, 2016 /CNW/ - Maple Leaf Green World
(MGW-V) ("Maple Leaf" or the "Company")
announces that a second marijuana crop has been started in the
Company's alternate greenhouse and these plants are already
approaching 2 feet in height. Photos have posted to the Company's
website. Maple Leaf's ability to grow two crops at the same
time will ensure a more consistent revenue stream. It is
anticipated that, during the last 5 months of 2016, the Company
will be generating revenue every month.
The plants from the first crop are now 10 feet high and 5 feet
wide, reaching above the curtains and arch supports in the
Company's flowering greenhouse. Photos of the first crop are
also posted to the Company's website. As the best quality of
marijuana is produced from the buds at the top of the plant,
management has decided to allow the plants to finish the flowering
process naturally, rather than cut them down in order to close the
curtain to accelerate the flowering process for harvesting.
Accordingly, harvesting of the first crop has been rescheduled to
take place in August.
Continued progress has been made in the effort to legalize
marijuana for recreational use in California. The Adult Use
of Marijuana Act has received more than double the required number
of signatures for the petition to place the initiative on the
ballot in the upcoming November elections.
