Bahamas Development Corporation OTC:
KSTV
|
Bahamas Development Corporation (BDC) took over Kstv Holding
Co., (OTC : KSTV) in 2015.
The Company will focus on start-up businesses and slightly
mature businesses in the Bahamas, which are still in their early
stages of development. These businesses typically fall in the
category of 1-3 year-old companies.
|
Our focus is on businesses that are looking for a more tax friendly
environment in the Bahamas, due to the Hawksbill Creek
Agreement.
Bahamas Development Corporations (BDC) goal is to be a premier
consulting and full service business recruiting company, which
brings manufacturing, agricultural, medical tourism and other
opportunities to the Island.
Job creation is one of our chief expectations. The unemployment
rate is roughly 17%, which is triple that of the U.S.
Since the Bahamas heavily depends on the U.S. through tourism,
this presents an opportunity to begin the process of working with
various partners to build a more diversified economy. Over the
course of the next 12 months BDC will have multiple revenue streams
from its Island operations.
Key target opportunities include development of light
manufacturing and agricultural businesses.

Subsidiaries
AQUAPONICS
FARM
We plan to create an indoor state-of-the-art aquaponics farm in
Freeport.
The Bahamas imports 97% of its food or roughly $1 billion
dollars from other countries. BDC plans to penetrate 7-10% of this
market over the next 5 years.
BDC recognized this as an opportunity to bring more economic
opportunity, provide jobs, and help keep the Bahamian dollar within
the country.
|
|
This venture is in line with the vision of Prime Minister
Christie to produce more food on the island.
BDC will have the only large commercial scale aquaponics farm on
the main island of the Grand Bahamas. The farm will grow mainly
leafy green produce such as spinach, kale, lettuce, and a variety
of spices. The aquaponics farm will also have the capability of
producing strawberries, tomatoes, and other fruiting vine
plants.
BOTTLED
WATER
|
The Grand Bahama Port Authority GBPA owns and controls
underground fresh water springs high in alkaline content. The water
is so clean that it only requires simple filtration. Reverse
osmosis is not necessary.
The GBPA is willing to sell spring water to BDC, thus giving us the
only nationally recognized bottled spring water that has the
backing of the Port Authority and the Bahamian government.
|
BDC desires to create a water company that identifies with the
people of Bahamas, we want to produce the first official water of
Bahamas and do for bottled water what Kalik Beer -- the official
beer of the Bahamas -- has done for beer.
We believe that we can produce superior bottled water with the
natural spring waters of the Bahamas, which is naturally fortified
with minerals. With great name recognition and national support,
this water can be become an export product, just like Fiji
Water.
SOUVENIRS
|
The Bahamas imports over $250 million dollars worth of souvenirs
per year. BDC is establishing the only t-shirt manufacturing plant
on the island that will be able to produce t-shirts, graphic
t-shirts, hats, tote bags and other souvenirs.
BDC will maintain an inventory that will simultaneously lower the
costs for local consumer-facing retailers, and make the company
competitive and highly profitable.
Creating a souvenir factory will increase local jobs potential
and increase GDP in the domestic manufacturing sector.
|
The cost per t-shirt will enable the company to be competitive with
China and create an export market back to the United
States. The main advantages BDC will have over other
foreign manufactures will be lead-time for buyers and minimum order
quantities.
