Former DuPont Nutrition, Food and Health Executive Brings 20+ Years Expertise to Lead Sales as Part of TerraVia’s Focus on Food & Nutrition

TerraVia™ (formerly Solazyme, Inc.) (NASDAQ:SZYM), a pioneer in algae innovation, focused on food and nutrition and specialty ingredients, has announced that Charlie Ross, former Vice President of DuPont’s Proteins Business Unit, has joined TerraVia as Vice President of Global Sales.

Mr. Ross joins with over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in food and nutrition, with a particular focus on plant-based proteins. He has been with DuPont since April 2000, first serving as their Manager of Strategic Projects for Protein Technologies as part of DuPont’s subsidiary Solae LLC. Most recently, he served as DuPont Nutrition and Health’s Vice President and Global Business Unit Leader for Value Proteins. Throughout his career, he has worked to build high performance teams in a multinational organization that contributes to the success of the organization and delivers better products for the customer.
