WARSAW--Activity in Poland's manufacturing sector was little changed in November, with business conditions for the sector continuing to improve, Markit Economics said Tuesday.

A survey of 300 industrial companies showed the manufacturing purchasing managers' index at 52.1 in November compared with 52.2 in October.

A PMI figure below 50 indicates contraction, while above that level signals expansion.

"The current upturn in the sector now stretches to 14 months, the longest in over four years," Markit said. "Improving manufacturing conditions were underpinned by a robust increase in the volume of new orders received in November. New contracts rose at the fastest pace since July, despite a slower gain in new export business."
