EXPLANATORY NOTE

SodaStream International Ltd. (the “Company”) hereby announces that, in accordance with its new practice to disclose open market purchases of its ordinary shares by its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer (as announced on August 28, 2015), between November 11, 2015 and November 13, 2015, Daniel Birnbaum, the Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, purchased an aggregate of 30,000 ordinary shares of the Company in open market transactions at prices per share between $13.71 and $14.28. Mr. Birnbaum owns a total of 173,420 ordinary shares of the Company following these purchases. This amount does not include options to purchase ordinary shares.
