Former Electronic Arts SVP and Kabam President to Lead Glu’s global studio teams

Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ:GLUU), a leading global developer and publisher of free-to-play games for smartphone and tablet devices, today announced that Nick Earl has joined the company as President of Global Studios. Earl brings a strong background in leading both domestic and global studio functions. As Glu continues to expand its digital entertainment portfolio, Earl’s over 20 years of experience and deep gaming expertise are a valuable addition to Glu’s executive team.

A twenty-year game industry veteran, Nick Earl joins Glu from Kabam Inc. and Electronic Arts. At Kabam, Earl was President of Worldwide Studios, presiding over hits such as Marvel: Contest of Champions. At Electronic Arts, Earl served as Senior Vice President of EA Mobile, overseeing free-to-play hits such as The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, The Sims™ FreePlay and Real Racing 3. He also led EA’s transition from premium to free-to-play business model. Prior to EA Mobile, Earl was Senior Vice President and Group General Manager of EA Games, launching such console franchises as Knockout Kings, James Bond, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, The Godfather, The Simpsons, Lord of the Rings, and Dead Space.

Earl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
