International Star Contracts LJ Bardswich Mine Consultant, Inc. to Produce Technical Report on the Van Deemen Gold Project

TUCSON, AZ / ACCESSWIRE / October 23, 2015 / International Star, Inc. (OTC: "ILST") is pleased to announce that International Star has contracted with LJ Bardswich Mine Consultant, Inc to produce a Technical Report on the Van Deemen Gold Project that is compliant with SEC Guide 7 regulations. The Technical Report will include an updated resource estimate, incorporating the additional holes found on maps in the AZ Geological Survey repository, which should not only enhance ILST presentations, and the economics of the project, but would also be a critical component of the pit and heap design, the MPO and supporting permits (404, APP, AZPDES etc.).

To be able to discuss the merits of any deposit publicly, and with credibility, requires the utilization of generally accepted Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Properties. The globally accepted bench-mark is the Canadian Securities Regulators National instrument 43-101. SEC Guide 7 regulations have different definitions than the NI 43-101 definitions, however SEC engineers recommend an NI 43-101 approach to technical reports (TR), utilizing the same format, requirements for Qualified Persons (QP) etc. provided that SEC terminology for definitions of mineralized material and ore are used.

The Technical Report will be authored by Joe Bardswich, P. Eng. and Barbara Carroll, CPG. both Qualified Persons as defined by NI 43-101 and therefore meeting SEC Guide 7 requirements.

Mr. Bardswich has been a mining consultant since 1994. He has been a Director of Northern Vertex Mining Corp since May 4, 2010. He has been a Director of Theia Resources Ltd. since December 20, 2012. He is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and a life member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM). Mr. Bardswich is a graduate of the University of Windsor (B.A.Sc., Civil Engineering) and received his Master's Degree (M. Eng. Mining) from McGill University. Mr. Bardswich is independent of the Company.

Ms. Carroll is a geologist with more than 30 years of relevant experience in the mining industry including modeling, resource estimation, permitting and feasibility studies. She is a Certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists and is a "Qualified Person" as defined in NI 43-101 Standards for Mineral Disclosure. Ms. Carroll is not independent of ILST as she is an officer of the Company.

The 1986 historical report concluded that there are 34,000 ounces of gold at the Van Deemen Gold Project.
