Gartner positions F5 Networks as the highest in execution and furthest in vision within Leaders quadrant

F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) today announced that it has again been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of its Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), published October 6, 2015.

“Software continues to be the growth engine for F5 ADCs, with many customers choosing virtual, cloud, and as-a-service offerings, as well as traditional hardware and hybrid deployments,” said Manny Rivelo, President and CEO, F5. “We believe that longstanding recognition as a Leader in the ADC Magic Quadrant points to the success customers are having with innovative offerings like F5 Silverline® services and the strength of our overall Synthesis™ vision.”

In describing the market, Gartner states that “(a)pplication delivery controllers (ADCs) provide functions that optimize delivery of enterprise applications across the network. ADCs provide functionality for both user-to-application and application-to-application traffic, and effectively bridge the gap between the application and underlying protocols and traditional packet-based networks.”1
