NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SiriusXM announced
today that Golf Channel's Michael Breed, one of the game's foremost
instructors, has joined the roster of hosts on the SiriusXM PGA
TOUR Radio channel, where he will host a new show airing twice a
week.
A New Breed of Golf will debut October 14 and air live every Wednesday and
Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am
ET on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio. The channel is
available to subscribers nationwide on satellite radios (Sirius
channel 208, XM channel 92), on the SiriusXM app and at
SiriusXM.com.
Breed will take calls from golfers around the country, share his
sought-after tips for better play at all levels of the game, and
discuss the latest golf news, tournaments, players and more.
"I've dedicated my career to helping golfers of all levels enjoy
the game of golf as much as I do," said Breed. "Being on Golf
Channel for Golf Fix on Mondays and now on SiriusXM for A
New Breed of Golf twice a week will allow me to share my
passion for the game more often and with more people than ever
before. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity SiriusXM is
giving me and I look forward to this new show becoming a fun,
entertaining, unique and very high-energy part of the SiriusXM PGA
TOUR Radio lineup."
"Michael is an exceptional teacher, to be sure. He's also
a remarkably talented communicator, whether he is instructing or
talking about the game's headline news," said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's President and Chief
Content Officer. "We're very excited to have him on SiriusXM
PGA TOUR Radio, where our listeners around the country can connect
with him to seek his advice on improving their games or just to
talk golf in general."
Breed (@MichaelBreed) has been a PGA Professional for more than
two decades and in 2012 received the highest honor of his career
when he was chosen as the PGA's National Teacher of the Year. He
has been recognized as one of the Top Instructors in America by
both GOLF magazine and Golf Digest. He is
presently ranked #13 on Golf Digest's Top 50 list, and #1 in the
state of New York. He has worked with over 30 PGA Tour, LPGA
Tour, Nationwide Tour and Senior Tour players.
Michael oversees the newly opened Michael Breed Golf Academy at
Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in New York. Formerly, he was
the head professional at Sunningdale Country Club and served as
assistant pro at Deepdale Golf Club and Augusta National Golf
Club.
Breed hosts The Golf Fix on Golf Channel and is part of
Golf Channel's coverage of the Nationwide Tour and PGA TOUR,
serving as an on course commentator. He also serves as the
analyst for PGA.com in its coverage of the PGA Championship, PGA
Professional National Championship, and The Ryder Cup.
