Item 8.01     Other Events.

 

On July 08, 2015, the Board of Directors of Deep Well Oil & Gas, Inc. (“Deep Well”) determined that the date of its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 (the “Meeting”). The Board of Directors set the close of business on August 7, 2015, as the record date (the “Record Date”) for shareholders entitled to receive notice of and to vote at the Meeting.

 

As previously disclosed and in accordance with Deep Well’s proxy statement as filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on August 7, 2014 on Schedule 14A, all shareholder proposals for inclusion in Deep Well’s proxy materials for its Meeting must comply with the rules pursuant to Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended and in accordance with Deep Well’s bylaws as previously filed with the SEC.

 

Deep Well plans to file with the SEC and make its proxy materials available on its website on or about August 13, 2015, and advises its shareholders to read the proxy statement, as it will contain important information about proposals being voted on at the Meeting.

("Deep Well" or "Company") (OTCQB Marketplace: DWOG) is pleased to announce that the Company’s Annual General Meeting of its Shareholders (the “Annual Meeting”) will be held in Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday the 29^th of September, 2015, at 14:00 MT, in the Leduc Room of The Westin Hotel, located at 10135 - 100 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T5J 0N7. Deep Well and its Canadian subsidiaries, Northern Alberta Oil Ltd. and Deep Well Oil & Gas (Alberta) Ltd., have a 90 per cent working interest in 51 contiguous square miles of oil sands leases, an 100 per cent working interest in 5 contiguous square miles of oil sands leases and a 25 per cent working interest in 12 contiguous square miles in the Sawn Lake heavy oil area in North Central Alberta.
