American Express Co. and JetBlue Airways Corp. aren't renewing their co-branded card arrangement, according to people familiar with the situation.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that AmEx's partnership with JetBlue was set to expire soon.

Under the agreement, JetBlue accepted other types of credit cards and wasn't exclusive to AmEx.

Meantime, Costco Wholesale Corp. has also said it is ending its partnership with AmEx, but in that case the wholesale club only accepted AmEx cards and no others.
