Jose Bustamante Named Executive Vice President of Business Development & Strategy

David (Dave) R. Dunning, 62, Fluor’s executive vice president of Business Development & Strategy, has elected to retire from Fluor Corporation effective June 1, 2015.

Dunning will begin a transition of his responsibilities immediately to Jose L. Martin de Bustamante, 51, currently serving as senior vice president, Business Development, Marketing & Strategic Planning for Energy & Chemicals. Bustamante will officially begin his new role on June 1 as Fluor’s new executive vice president of Business Development & Strategy reporting to David T. Seaton, chairman and chief executive officer.

Dunning served in a variety of positions during his 37 years, each with increasing complexity, accountability and strategic importance. For the past two years, he was responsible for the realignment and consolidation of Fluor’s business development and sales organizations to solidify and focus strategic planning, sales, communications and advocacy for the company.

“Dave has been exceptional in this role and is leaving the company with a substantially improved and valuable team that is determined and focused on achieving our strategic objectives,” said Seaton. “Dave will continue to help our company in a consulting capacity as a member of NuScale Power’s board of directors as well as advising on activities related to Fluor’s recent memorandum of understanding with China National Nuclear Corporation.”
