LONDON-- Public relations company Huntsworth PLC (HNT.LN) Monday
said Paul Taaffe, a former executive at sector giant WPP PLC
(WPP.LN), will succeed Lord Chadlington as Chief Executive.
Mr. Taaffe, who was most recently director of communications at
the online commerce company Groupon Inc (GRPN) had a twenty year
career at Hill and Knowlton, Inc, the WPP-owned public relations
consultancy, where he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for
eight years, Huntsworth said.
He will join the company in April. Lord Chadlington will
continue to operate as a senior advisor.
Huntsworth also said that its Chief Operating Officer and
Finance Director Sally Withey, who has been seriously unwell, will
leave the company at the end of this year. Brian Porritt will
continue as interim finance director.
Shares at 1130 GMT, down 2 pence, or 3.3%, at 44 pence valuing
the company at GBP143 million ($223.6 million).
