LIHUE-KAUAI, Hawaii, Dec. 19,
2014 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to "The Biggest Loser,"
Kaua'i Marriott Resort is a big winner.
Filmed exclusively on Hawaii's
Garden Island and at the Kaua'i
beach resort, a two-hour episode of NBC's hit TV show scheduled to
air Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, will
feature six contestants making resolutions to ensure 2015 is their
best year yet.
"Having the filming of 'The Biggest Loser' on our property was
an incredible experience and huge honor," said Bill Countryman, general manager of Kauai
Marriott Resort. "Our Kaua'i golf resort features the perfect
balance of adventure and beauty, which is important for not only
inspiring the contestants but invigorating our guests as well."
During the show, the contestants will be challenged to leave
their comfort zones and rappel down a cascading waterfall with Da
Life or rope swing with Just Live! in a tropical forest. Following
the intense excursions, contestants will learn how to make healthy,
island-inspired tacos before partaking in a Lacrosse-style obstacle
course on a stunning, privately owned ranch.
"We are excited to see the adventure, culture and natural beauty
of Kauai shine on 'The Biggest
Loser' in visually compelling, made-for-TV moments," said
John Monahan, president and CEO of
the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. "Collaborating with
NBC's superb production team to develop these challenging
competitions and tell the contestants' stories has been a great
experience from beginning to end. The contestants now know what an
inspiring destination Hawaii and
the Kaua'i Marriott Resort are, and millions of viewers will,
too."
One of the premier hotels on Kaua'i, Marriott is infamous for its warm
island hospitality, idyllic location on the Garden Isle and
exceptional service. The resort inspires relaxation as well as
adventure with a superior beach experience and one of the largest
family friendly pools in Hawaii.
