F5® now a VCE Technology Alliance Partner;
Vblock Ready certification enables orchestrated service
capabilities and brings converged infrastructure benefits to mutual
customers
F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV) announced today that its BIG-IP®
product portfolio is now certified as a Vblock Ready solution
through the VCE Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The TAP
program is designed for independent software vendors, hardware
manufacturers, virtual appliance vendors, and other technology
providers looking to simplify and accelerate their solutions for
deployment with VCE Vblock Systems.
As the result of dedicated certification efforts, organizations
can confidently combine F5 and Vblock solutions in integrated,
validated scenarios to optimize converged infrastructure and
enhance data center and cloud deployments. Specifically, F5
technologies provide intelligent service delivery functions around
application security, optimization, and availability that mesh
seamlessly with leading converged infrastructure from VCE,
increasing the value, utility, and flexibility of deployments in
all types of IT environments.
VCE Vblock Systems provide rapid deployments and dramatically
lower IT costs by offering pre-integrated, pre-tested, and
pre-validated IT infrastructures that combine best-in-class
compute, network, storage, data protection, and virtualization
technologies from Cisco, EMC, and VMware, delivered as a single
product with unified support. Vblock Ready certification provides
customers with the assurance that F5’s BIG-IP Application Delivery
Controllers can now interoperate with Vblock Systems.
F5 supports evolving infrastructure through a combination of its
unique technologies (including ScaleN™ for ultimate growth and
scalability) and an ecosystem of alliance partners. With F5’s
elastic, fabric-based approach to services, customers can pursue
dynamic resource models that support leading virtualization, cloud,
and data center environments through a combination of physical,
virtual, and multi-tenant solutions. Vblock Ready certification

VCE works with Superna™ to conduct and administer Vblock System
certifications for VCE TAP program members. This certification
enables mutual channel partners and customers to accelerate
adoption of Vblock Systems while leveraging F5 solutions for
impactful, consolidated functionality in the data center and the
cloud.
