Global Data Center Provider CyrusOne Pre-leases Large Section of New Northern Virginia Facility

Fortune 50 company chooses CyrusOne Data Center for its scalability and flexibility

Global data center provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) announced today a Fortune 50 company has pre-leased more than 12,000 square feet of colocation space (CSF) with first right of refusal on another 8,000 square feet at its new facility in the city of Sterling in Loudon County Virginia. Pre-sale represents a third of the 30,000 square feet of colocation space that will come online for the first phase of the 124,000 square foot building the company broke ground on in April.

CyrusOne’s Massively Modular® engineering approach optimizes materials sourcing, to enable just-in-time data-hall inventory to meet customer demand in northern Virginia. The 124,000-square-foot building where the first phase of space for the Fortune 50 customer is expected to be located will also include 15,000 square feet of Class A office space and up to 12 megawatts of critical load. At full build, the 14-acre site will accommodate a shell of approximately 400,000 square feet, with up to 240,000 square feet of colocation space (CSF), 36,000 square feet of Class A office space, and up to 48 megawatts of critical load.
