Mitch Rose to Join Comcast NBCUniversal as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, NBCUniversal

Mitch Rose will join Comcast NBCUniversal as Senior Vice
President of Government Affairs, NBCUniversal. Mr. Rose currently
provides strategic consulting services to a wide range of clients,
including Comcast, NCTA, and RIAA, as the principal of Mitch Rose
Strategic Consulting. Before establishing his own firm, Mr. Rose
was Vice President, Government Relations, for The Walt Disney
Company. Mr. Rose will be located in the Comcast NBCUniversal
government affairs office in Washington, DC. He will report
directly to David L. Cohen, Executive Vice President of Comcast
Corporation, as well as to Kim Harris, NBCUniversal's Executive
Vice President and General Counsel, who is responsible for
coordinating NBCUniversal government affairs.

In his role as Vice President, Government Relations, for The
Walt Disney Company, Mr. Rose was responsible for representing the
company’s interests before the Administration and Congress. Mr.
Rose worked on a variety of issues such as combating piracy of
intellectual property, broadcast ownership caps, government
involvement in cable and broadcast content and programming
decisions, as well as theme park related matters.
Before joining Disney, Mr. Rose spent over fifteen years on
Capitol Hill. From 1997 to 2000, he was Chief of Staff to Senator
Ted Stevens (R – Alaska). In addition, he served as a Legislative
Aide in the House for two years and in a variety of positions for
former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole (R – Kansas), including
Press Aide.
Mr. Rose earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the Washington
College of Law at American University, and a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. He serves on
development committees for Reading is Fundamental and Musicians on
Call. Mr. Rose and his family reside in McLean, Virginia.
