Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Constance D’Argenio has joined its Huron Healthcare practice as a managing director. D’Argenio will focus on helping healthcare organizations develop and implement strategies to address the ongoing complexities associated with the evolving transition from fee-for-service to management of population health.

“A key to improving patient outcomes at lower costs is implementing highly consistent, evidence-based care across the continuum,” said Gordon Mountford, executive vice president, Huron Healthcare. “Connie is an expert at helping providers put the building blocks in place to create highly reliable organizations that minimize care variation and increase quality and patient satisfaction leading to improved financial performance. Her experience leveraging technology to support care management both in the acute and home care environments will be a tremendous resource for our team and clients.”

D’Argenio, MS, BSN, has more than 30 years of healthcare experience assisting health system executives to prioritize opportunities to enhance strategy and operations through information technology. Before joining Huron Healthcare, D’Argenio led development and execution of Philips Healthcare’s global sales strategy for its hospital-to-home services and products. While at Philips, she also served as national director of high-acuity information system sales and vice-president of sales for Philips/VISICU, Inc., advancing its eICU programs.

During her career, D’Argenio has held progressive clinical management positions within hospitals, with strong emphasis on clinical performance improvement and nurse education. At Huron, D’Argenio will help clients prioritize, quantify and implement new population management strategies to achieve improved clinical and financial outcomes.
