Canada Energy Partners Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CE) is pleased to
announce that it has closed the sale of the Company's Montney rights for
$15,720,000.


CIBC World Markets Inc. acted as financial advisor to the Company with respect
to the transaction.


The Company will issue a press release in the near future regarding the
distribution to shareholders with details of the timing, the effective date, and
final distribution amount.
