Galaxy Gaming Expands Its European Operations Into France
June 25 2014 - 2:00PM
Galaxy Gaming, Inc. (OTC:GLXZ) the world's largest independent
producer of casino table games and enhanced systems, announced
today the installation of its proprietary table games in France.
This event marks the first French approval of a proprietary table
game.
France's largest gaming operator, Groupe Lucien Barrière, has
agreed to install Galaxy Gaming's award-winning table game "Lucky
Ladies" into six different French casinos. The first
installation occurred at the Casino Barrière du Deauville in
Normandy. This luxury seaside casino is favored by France's
most discerning clientele, and will be showcased this September
when Deauville hosts the 39th annual American Film
Festival.
In addition, both Lucky Ladies and another popular Galaxy table
game, "21+3", are currently offered in five Groupe Lucien Barrière
casinos in Switzerland. Barrière also operates additional
casinos in France and Egypt, representing additional potential
market expansion opportunities for Galaxy.
Many industry observers believe France's gaming industry is
often overlooked, despite the fact that approximately 200 casinos
are operating countrywide. The application process,
regulatory approvals and technical agreements needed to enter this
market, however, have made it difficult to reach for foreign
companies.
"After working with French authorities for the past couple of
years, our perseverance has now been rewarded," commented Galaxy
Gaming's Chief Executive Officer Robert Saucier. "Although
overcoming the entry barrier into France is quite meaningful, it is
far more significant to the Company in terms of the anticipated
long-term business opportunities with France's well-established
gaming industry. Galaxy has launched from the starting gate
first, thereby giving us a substantial advantage over any future
potential competitors. We want to thank all of the regulatory
authorities who made this possible and especially our valued
client, Groupe Lucien Barrière. We look forward to a
continuing long and mutually profitable business relationship."
Gary A. Vecchiarelli, Galaxy Gaming's Chief Financial Officer
observed, "Our unprecedented entry into European markets and other
international areas is a logical aspect of our growth strategy and
the continued execution of our strategic plan. Galaxy brings
the industry's leading products to the market, and we develop the
strong partnering relationships to make sure they are seen all over
the world."
"The debut of Lucky Ladies in France is very promising and we
are optimistic that it will expand quickly among many other casinos
in the coming weeks," said Laurent Gaubout, owner at LGS Gaming and
Galaxy Gaming's agent for continental Europe. "21+3 is another
Galaxy game currently being tested here, and the future looks
bright, thanks to the large portfolio of games from Galaxy Gaming
and its proven track record.''
