Easy management and seamless, secure communication with
regulators are key factors in long-term renewal
Zix Corporation (ZixCorp), (NASDAQ: ZIXI), a leader in
email data protection, announces that Service 1st
Federal Credit Union has signed a five-year renewal contract
for ZixTM Email Encryption. Service 1st first deployed
ZixGateway®, a policy-based email encryption service,
in 2011 to automatically protect outbound email containing
sensitive member information.
“We choose best of breed solutions to protect our member’s data
and privacy, and ZixCorp meets that standard with ongoing
leadership in email encryption,” said Jay Reed, Chief Information
Officer for Service 1st. “The continued enhancements of ZixCorp’s
solution are as easy to recognize as they are to implement.
Regardless of the size of your IT department, you can expect to
take advantage of upgrades with little to no impact. It just
works.”
Zix Email Encryption is offered through Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) architecture, making the solution easy to install and easy
to maintain. ZixCorp’s SaaS architecture is supported by the
ZixData CenterTM, a SysTrust/SOC3 certified, SOC2
accredited and PCI Level 1, DSS V2.0 certified facility with a
track record of consistent 99.999% availability.
Zix Email Encryption is trusted and used by all federal
financial regulators, including the National Credit Union
Administration, and more than 20 state financial regulators,
such as the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. As a
result, the exchange of secure email is completely transparent
between Service 1st and its regulators without any additional set
up.
“Seamless, secure communication is a significant advantage of
Zix Email Encryption. It makes data protection as simple as
possible for our employees and valuable recipients, including
regulators, business partners and employee groups,” said Reed.
“When we’re asked what solution we use, our reply of Zix quickly
alleviates a lot of headaches and concerns.”
ZixCorp is the only vendor to offer automatic transparent email
encryption for both senders and recipients without any additional
set-up. Through ZixGateway, outbound email is automatically scanned
and encrypted if sensitive content is identified in the message or
attachments. Any recipients who use ZixGateway automatically
receive secure email transparently, where messages are decrypted
automatically without any extra steps or passwords. Any recipients
who do not use ZixCorp Email Encryption Services can access secure
email using ZixPort®, a mobile friendly web
portal.
“We constantly enhance our email encryption and infrastructure
to give our customers confidence that the solutions that are easy
to use today will be even easier tomorrow,” said Rick Spurr,
ZixCorp’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “That commitment is
how we’ve become the solution of choice for financial regulators
and earned the loyalty of financial institutions like Service 1st
Federal Credit Union and one out of every five U.S. banks.”
