New Zealand Energy Reiterates Communication Strategy

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 6, 2014) - New Zealand Energy Corp. ("NZEC" or the "Company") (TSX-VENTURE:NZ)(OTCQX:NZERF) today advised shareholders that the Company remains committed to reporting production and development activities on a monthly basis, as originally announced on December 2, 2013.

NZEC's April production update was included in the Company's Q4-2013 Management's Discussion & Analysis, which was press released on May 1. The next update will be included in the Company's Q1-2014 Management's Discussion & Analysis, expected to be released on or before May 30. Thereafter, the update will be scheduled for the second or third business day of each month.
