VISTA, Calif., March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc., (OTCQB: ECOB) announced today that the Company has purchased additional automated coating equipment and the use of a facility currently operational in Augusta, Georgia. The newly acquired equipment is fully-functional and complete with automation, enabling the Company to obtain an increased output rate. In addition to the automated line, ECOB will refurbish an existing production line under the provisions of the Company's current quality control program, complete with pre and post-conditioning tunnels producing a higher quality finished product. Moreover, the increased production capacity will allow ECOB to reinforce its current market position in the Northeastern U.S. with respect to panel production to meet increasing big box demands.

"The demand in the northeast started with one house, and today we are positioned with multiple coating lines and affiliate production facilities to support that market. More recently, Eco sold a whole-house pack into Omaha, Nebraska and already the supply chain is calling for Eco Red Shield protected lumber. In the Pacific Northwest, Eco's Salem facility remains fairly busy with lumber distributors like Shelter Products and Blazer Industries sending product in for coating services to support production jobsites in Texas, Colorado and pre-fab buildings heading off-shore into Hawaii," stated Steve Conboy, President/CEO, Eco Building Products, Inc. "We are expecting the same in the south as we are getting calls from distributors already. Once we raise the Eco Flag in the south, it is certain that the market will come to Eco for coating services because we are convincing the lumber industry Eco is the best in the business and here to stay," added Conboy.

Also in support of the Company's endeavors in the development, production and distribution of eco-friendly protected lumber; the USDA recently published a press release No. 0041.14 titled, USDA Announces Support for Innovative, Sustainable Wood Building Materials to Protect Environment and Create Jobs. "We are getting calls now as if ECOB wrote this press release because it sounds like it was written  about Eco Red Shield and our online institute designed to train Architects and Engineers, www.IDBP.org, about the need to protect wood fiber strength, the carbon footprint, people that occupy the homes and the first responders during fires. We are excited to present our application to the USDA helping them understand what ECOB has been doing to raise the bar on wood framed buildings with protected lumber in highly impacted markets," added Conboy.
