Among the companies with shares expected to actively trade in Monday's session are FMC Corp. (FMC) and McDonald's Corp. (MCD).

American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL) and JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) on Monday said they have decided to end their partnership, which has been in effect since 2010. Starting Monday, the airlines will stop accepting new interline sales on the other carrier. Shares of American slid 17 cents to $38.85 premarket, while JetBlue declined three cents to $9.

Ferrellgas Partners LP (FGP) said its fiscal second-quarter earnings rose 3.9% as sales volume increased on colder temperatures nationwide. The company, best known for its Blue Rhino grilling tanks, posted stronger-than-expected results. Shares edged up 17 cents to $25.10 premarket.

FMC said it plans to split into two independent, publicly traded companies, with one concern focusing on minerals, and the other dealing with agricultural products and health and nutrition. The company said it expects to complete the separation in early 2015. Shares climbed 5.3% to $82 premarket.

McDonald's said its same-store sales edged down 0.3% in February, with continued weakness in the U.S. dragging on results. In the U.S., same-store sales, or sales at restaurants open at least 13 months, shrank 1.4%, which the company blamed on "challenging industry dynamics" and severe winter weather. Shares slid 40 cents to $95.10 premarket.

Wireless services provider NII Holdings Inc. (NIHD) said it plans to explore strategic options, following last month's warning from the company that it faces long-term liquidity issues. The Reston, Va., company said it retained two financial advisors to review its business. Shares climbed 6.3% to $1.18 premarket.

   Watch List:

Mattress Firm Holding Corp. (MFRM) said it made a handful of purchase deals totaling $80.5 million, which will expand its company-operated stores in Texas, Colorado, Kansas and Virginia. Collectively, the deals are expected to benefit per-share earnings and will add about 93 locations to the Mattress Firm company-operated store base.

Quest Diagnostics Inc. (DGX) raised its outlook for the year after completing its acquisition of Solstas Lab Partners Group, but cautioned that severe winter weather will weigh on its bottom line.
