3LP Advisors ("3LP"), a leading intellectual property advisory firm, is pleased to announce an expansion of its senior professional team. Mr. Andrew Filler recently joined 3LP to enhance its licensing and general patent operations, with a particular focus on supporting the recent licensing services agreement between 3LP and ParkerVision, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRKR).

Mr. Filler comes to 3LP with over twenty years of experience managing intellectual property and general legal matters across an array of technology and medical companies. He joins 3LP from Nanosys, Inc., where he served as General Counsel and Vice President of Intellectual Property. In that role, he created and managed one of the largest nanotechnology patent portfolios in the world with over 800 patents and applications, as well as negotiated hundreds of complex licensing and collaborative agreements with multinational companies including Samsung Electronics, 3M, LGIT (a subsidiary of LG Group), Sharp, Intel, SanDisk and Medtronic. Prior to Nanosys, Mr. Filler served as Chief Patent Counsel at Caliper Life Sciences, where he advised the company on numerous licensing transactions. Mr. Filler's expertise also includes IP litigation, strategy and counseling on behalf of a number of semiconductor and technology companies while he was with the Silicon Valley office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

In recognition of his extensive experience and dedication to the field Mr. Filler was named as one of the top two corporate IP attorneys in Silicon Valley by the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2011.
