Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTC: DEWM) Receives Certification
as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2014) - Dewmar International
BMC, Inc. (OTCQB: DEWM) (OTCBB: DEWM) ("Dewmar" or "Company") a
leading provider of consumer brands to global markets announced
that it has received an official certification as a
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern (SDVBOC).
According to, Dr. Charles Achane, the President of the Louisiana
Veterans Business Outreach Center (LVBOC), Dewmar, by way of Dr.
Marco Moran being a major shareholder, met all of the requirements
of the Small Business Act 15 USCS, Section 632 and Federal SBA
Regulations 13 CFR Parts 121 and 124 -- and 13 C.F.R. 125.8 --
125.10 as an official Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE).
"I plan to work closely with Dr. Moran over the next few weeks
to introduce him to beverage procurement directors at two of the
largest military bases in the state of Louisiana -- Barksdale Air
Force Base in Bossier City, LA and Fort Polk Army Base in
Leesville, LA," said Dr. Charles Achane. "Once we complete
those meetings, I plan to establish meetings in Texas at top
military bases introducing all three flavors of Lean Slow Motion
Potion™ relaxation beverage for military exchanges and
commissaries. Furthermore, our organization has strong partnerships
with Walmart in Southwest Louisiana which means that we will lobby
local Supercenter managers to place Lean in prominent displays
across the region, as Lean has shown success across other parts of
the state."
Dr. Marco Moran earned a number of ribbons, honors and awards
during Operation Desert Storm throughout his tenure as both an
enlisted member and as a Naval Officer at Marine Corp base in Camp
Lejeune, North Carolina. As a senior at Caldwell Parish High
School in Louisiana, Moran joined the United States Marine Corp
Early Entry Program (EEP) before winning a series of high school
and teen Powerlifting titles where he set multiple national and
international records. This resulted in Moran being hand selected
by legendary U.S. Olympic Weightlifting Coach Gayle Hatch to
personally train for the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team while attending
Louisiana State University. Moran was allowed to transfer from the
U.S. Marines to the U.S. Navy in order to pursue his Olympic
dreams, where he later elected to serve his country as a registered
pharmacist.
"My experience with the military from Coronado Bay Naval Base to
Officer School in Rhode Island then onward to Camp Lejeune, NC was
an 'eye-opener' for a small town country boy such as myself, and
one that I will forever cherish as a positive life-changing
experience. I had to mature at a rapid pace as I learned a
myriad of advanced leadership skills in a short period of time, as
my responsibilities became increasingly greater by the month as the
ensign (rookie) officer," says Dr. Marco Moran, CEO of Dewmar
International. "After experiencing over 4 years as both
enlisted personnel as well as a Commissioned Officer, I developed a
profound respect for our service men and women of all ranks, races,
ages, and ethnicities; and with regard to Dewmar, my military
background has prepared me for the entrepreneurial challenges of
growing a successful business through preparation, sound strategy
and execution. 'With hard work, honor and pride -- no task is too
large to conquer' is the mentality that I have gained," Moran
added.
"It is with great pride that I fully support Dr. Moran and
Dewmar with current and future endeavors as an entrepreneur and
veteran-owned business. In addition to confirming this
certification, I see the tremendous level of passion that he
possesses for his shareholders and consumers alike for his existing
product as well as the rather detailed list of extensive consumable
goods and nutraceuticals that he plans to launch in order to
improve the quality of life for the general public. We (LVBOC)
are here to assist in every possible capacity in which Dr. Moran
may need us, not just in the United States, but all of our partners
and military bases worldwide," says Dr. Charles Achane.
In Spring 2013, Dewmar earned registration with The United
States General Service Administration's (GSA) Office of
Government-wide Acquisition Policy. The registration is a
requirement to conduct business with the U.S. Federal Government
and allows Dewmar International to be listed in the System for
Award Management (SAM) which is a database used by Government
Contracting Officers responsible for procurement activity.
